How is your follow up following a trade show or event?

Do you have a system in place or is your system the one where

you sift through the pile of business cards as you get to it.

Follow-up can be overwhelming but can mean the ROI on

your event being profitable or a  bust.

I read an interesting article by Bartizan Connects a provider of smart technology for trade shows, who did a recent poll with trade show attendees regarding followup by exhibitors, the results were that “78 percent polled have a negative opinion of exhibitors that don’t follow up.”

The poll asked, “As a trade show attendee, what is your reaction when an exhibitor fails to follow up with you?”  Of the 337 respondents, the majority said they were left with negative feelings after an exhibitor failed to follow up with them post show. Additionally, 9 percent were negative toward both the exhibitor and the event and a whopping 31 percent of those negative respondents qualified themselves as having a very negative reaction to the lack of follow up.”

So, the question bears asking, how is your follow-up after an event, even a networking event?  You could be missing opportunities.
